A Good News for Thinker and Bad News for Learner

United State revamping of the SAT was announced last week by David Coleman.
In average, it is a good news for thinker but bad news for learner. Any examination is a label to tell other (especially employer) what you have learnt, but no examination can tell other what you can achieve in the future. Today, we have put too much energy on showing other something. In most case our confident is based on how to show off, not what we know. Besides most company (include university) don’t like employee have too much creativity; bosses are more like to have creativity themselves. But this revamping required employer thinking more when employing someone.
As for the vocabulary cognition, I think it will blame the linguists of English world, they don’t have the ability to make English speaker learning less knowing more. It is ridiculous to foist student work hard and painstaking rote, while we can have many easy way to master a bigger vocabulary. It is just impossible any country insist any stubborn style of their language in an information age. Without a language reform, any country will lose either their Common Core or other knowledge.
The only thing I feel strange in this revamping is why they limit the usage of calculator. Is that means to say the announcer doesn’t know much of math or I overestimate the average math ability of high school student?  For there are so many questions, even if you have a computer or calculator you can do nothing but thinking. Our world is going to be a computer-depending one, all of our languages (math is one of them) will change according this requirement. If anything can be done by computer, human being will not bother to do it such as grammar, vocabulary and simple calculation. For we have more important job to do. Human being have to find more ways to use computer and create more miracles that people lived before the information age, never think about.
When I was discussion in a forum about how to reform English to be a learning less knowing more language, I found nearly all of the English linguists don’ t know what is the spirit of math. We don’t require every linguist to be good in math but at least they have to know something about the spirit of it. Without this knowledge, the language issue, the education issue will never be solved. Especially how to master the already over one million English vocabulary in a short time. Every 88 minutes a new word is born, if we don’t solve this issue fundamentally what will happened in the future? For how to make a language learning less knowing more, please see:

All of this is for maintaining the creativity of a society. For only creativity could maintain a country in the state of democracy.
