Multilingualism, Mission: Impossible (VIII)

When human being dealing with the information explosion, one of the key issue is how to filter out the most useful information from mess messages, while the target of multilingualism is mix more mess into a useful information.

In many cases, if only we can change every information into one dimension, it will be very useful and clearer. Or we may say if every information is shift into one language, it would be clearer than put these information in various language. In my post of ‘How Our Memory Is Built?’ we have talked about the more times we repeat the better we remember it. If all information have transformed (translated) in one language, to know it will half the size of words number than they are in two different languages. In fact if only we can put anything in one level or dimension, there would be miracle. For instance we know the earth reflect the light from sun, the reflected light may running into a certain celestial body, and scattered on the surface of it. But if there is a mirror, and it make every information reflected back to the earth at same level, then we can see our ancestor in ancient time. It tells us that the most important thing for information intake is put them on same level for comparison. Rationalism is trying the best of putting meanings in the same level for exam and comparing while multilingualism on the contrary, put everything in scatter. It split our thinking.
