Compound Words Are Clearer (8)

Few days ago, I bring my mother to a hospital at the reception, I found such a picture:

Although what they said WHITE means black, but everybody know it very well. That means to say, within a certain scope, even if you make some mistake, people will know it very well. In fact when we speak words one by one, it is narrowing the scope in your mind step by step and finally a whole sentence lead your mind to a certain location and it will make no mistake with other sentences. Now let’s think about the Abbreviation. It using the same process as sentence, that by the first letter, it divided the whole knowledge in your mind to 1/26 parts, like the dictionary that you look for a certain letter. Then the second letter from the abbreviation bring your mind to a 1/26x26=1/676 parts and so on. When the world’s information explosion started, the abbreviation was in trouble. Yet the information explosion doesn’t affect the Chinese character too much, for the normal 3000 characters divided the whole knowledge that in an individual’s mind 1/3,000, and the second character divided it 1/3,000x3,000=1/9,000,000.
